Tartufo, Appennino bolognese:

Questo è il più apprezzato tra tutti i funghi che si possono raccogliere nell'Appenino bolognese.
I tartufi bianchi e neri che è possibile trovare in questa zona sono superbi e condiscono molti dei piatti tipici della regione.
Il tartufo è raccolto fresco e il periodo migliore per gustarlo va da ottobre a novembre.
C'è da dire, però, che è anche molto costoso.

These most highly esteemed of all mushrooms can be found in the Bologna Apennines.
The Italian white and black truffles found here are delicious and flavor many of the regional dishes.
They are harvested fresh, and are at their best in October and November.
They are also very expensive (especially outside of Italy).
